Our Sunday School starts with the children attending the morning worship service. After the Children’s Time, they join their teachers for their morning classes. There is always a warm welcome for new children to join in whenever they can.
The Sunday School uses a rotation curriculum where the children experience Bible stories in many different ways, using art, drama, storytelling, games, science etc.
A Note from Your Sunday School Superintendent
The children’s Sunday school continues this semester by studying the teaching and healing stories of Jesus. We have begun to sing regularly and are even planning to learn What a Friend We Have in Jesus in honor of Russ Gremel. We are learning the books of the New Testament and the Lord’s Prayer as well as talking about the places our offering goes to help the church and those in need.
Especially this semester Sunday school will include several mission projects including making summer activity kits for the kids who live at Lydia Home, creating a special Mother’s Day project for our own moms, making get well cards for our church’s shut-ins and any sick members, and a terrific project to help homeless teens through the Night Ministry, as we learn about Jesus’ healing ministry.
